Exploring Africa, One Country at a Time

54 Countries: The Original Edition takes children on a journey across the African continent, introducing all 54 countries and the people, cultures and stories that make each one unique.

Inspired by Fuse ODG’s 54 Countries song and created by Fuse ODG and Suli Breaks, the book was born from a simple idea: children should be able to name, recognise and learn about their roots.

From Accra to Addis Ababa, Lagos to Lusaka, young readers can explore the continent beyond the usual stereotypes and discover Africa for what it truly is: 54 countries, each with its own identity, history and story to tell.

This is where the 54 Countries journey began.

Please Note:

In order for this book to go into production we need to reach our minimum viable target of 100 books. Once we reach this milestone the book will then go into production. The books are estimated to take a few months to be produced. Our goal is to have the books shipped by 25th May 2027 (Africa Day).

Why it matters

Our stories, told by us

For too long, other people have told our stories — and in the telling, made us feel inferior. It's time to reclaim the narrative and raise a generation of confident, informed young leaders.

What it is

A country, brought to life

A beautifully illustrated, joyfully written book dedicated entirely to Ghana — its history, culture and people — made to educate and inspire children and the families raising them.

How to join

Be part of the movement

Reserve your copy to help Ghana reach its printing goal, then join This Is New Africa as a member for early access to future countries, drops and events.

More than books.
It's a movement.

We're on a mission to reconnect children and families with African history, culture and identity. Together, we can build confident leaders and a brighter future.

Representation matters because children deserve to see themselves reflected in their history and culture. Education creates power, heritage builds pride, and together, we build generational leaders who carry these values forward.

Finally recieved the book

Happy to receive the book and learn about one country at the time. I would have been happier if the pages been matt not glossy, but thats ok.
For my kids age information is enough, but idea for the future-more detailed info about every country to learn more.

I felt like a child holding the book! It was so nicely made and I am glad to have it in my book collection. It also made me want to have an adult version of the book, with a bit more information about each country.
