What is This Is New Africa?

This Is New Africa is the publishing and merchandise company behind Fuse ODG’s educational movement. Our mission is to reconnect people of African heritage with African history, culture and identity through books, music, educational resources and premium merchandise.

What products do you sell?

We currently offer children’s and educational books, including the 54 Countries collection, A-Z Ancestor Guide, and Yaa Asantewaa and The Golden Stool. More products, including merchandise, clothing, posters, artwork and future educational resources, will be introduced as the movement grows.

What is the 54 Countries collection?

The 54 Countries collection is a series of books celebrating the countries of Africa. The Original Edition is available for immediate fulfilment, while individual country books are brought to life through community-powered pre-orders and crowdfunding.

How does the crowdfunding/pre-order system work?

Each individual country book has its own pre-order campaign. The goal is typically 100 pre-orders per country. The product page shows the number of pre-orders achieved, the goal, a progress bar and the percentage completed. Once the minimum pre-order goal is reached, the book can move forward to manufacturing.

How long will my pre-ordered book take to arrive?

Pre-order delivery depends on the crowdfunding timeline, manufacturing lead time and international shipping. The exact processing, manufacturing and shipping timelines will be provided in our Shipping Policy.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Worldwide shipping is available, with the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Ghana, Nigeria, the Caribbean and Australia among our priority markets. Shipping costs and available destinations are already configured in the store.
